Active ingredients

·        Tranexamic acid :

decreases tyrosinase activity and decreases stimulation of melanocytes via inhibiting UV light–induced plasminogen activator and plasmin activity.

·        Alpha Arbutin :

is marketed as a safer alternative to hydroquinone which is responsible for inhibiting tyrosinase activity thus production of melanin is decreased

·        Licorice :

Helps in removing excess melanin as it contains liquiritin , prevents erythema and hyperpigmentation in the skin from UV light, and acts as an antioxidant

·        Kojic acid:

inhibits tyrosinase by chelating the copper ion which is normally present in the active site of tyrosinase leading to the reduction of melanin

·        Azelaic Acid:

has a keratolytic effect which increases the turnover rate of dead skin cells and helps the skin to bind moisture.

·        Vitamin E:

acts as an antioxidant which helps empower the development of new cells
